A glorious fall day—sky electric blue and calm, cloudless. I’m sitting by the bayou, which I realize as I write has become a haven for me. I have a perfect view of the restored bridge across from Cabrini high school.Took the morning to go to a Great Hall sale at NOMA, where I bought Christmas presents. Then I went to the main library and did a rare bit of family history research.
